Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As part of the working visit of the delegation of the Uzcharmsanoat association to the PRC, the delegates visited the Jinjiang International Textile and Footwear Town and held negotiations with representatives of the Jinjiang Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which unites footwear equipment manufacturers.

The topic of discussion was the study of China’s experience in the development of specialized industrial zones and the placement of projects, the issue of attracting investment from Chinese companies to Uzbekistan.

Jinjiang International Shoe and Textile City is a large complex of showrooms, design centers and retail stores that regularly presents products from industry manufacturing enterprises to foreign partners.

In the process of getting acquainted with the industrial city, a mutual exchange of experience took place on the further development of specialized industrial zones created in Uzbekistan, and the competent placement of projects in them.

Dialogues were also held here with manufacturers of leather and footwear products operating in the city of Jingjiang. First, the association delegates provided the Chinese side with detailed information about reforms in the leather and footwear industry of Uzbekistan, its production, investment and export potential. Chinese businessmen were given a presentation on the activities of Uzbek enterprises.

The Chinese side put forward an initiative to launch an investment project for the production of artificial leather in Uzbekistan. According to the head of one of the companies, the conditions created for foreign investors, benefits and preferences provided by the state, can form the basis for many more joint projects.

Also, Chinese entrepreneurs expressed great interest in the participation of Uzbek companies in the international shoe exhibition in Jinjiang in April and the establishment of cooperation.
