Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Khokimiyat of Namangan region, the Main Department for Tourism and Cultural Heritage of Namangan region and the Akhsikent Hotel held a business forum on the development of tourism potential.

The event was attended by 12 representatives of more than 10 tourism companies in the state of Sabah, as well as about 30 business representatives operating in the tourism sector.

As part of the business forum, a memorandum of cooperation was signed with the General Directorate of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of Namangan region and the Malaysian state company Funholiday Tours & Travel Sdn by funholiday Tours&Travel Sdn Bhd.

Also at the meetings in the B2B format, agreements were reached on establishing interaction between representatives of the tourist industry of Namangan region and Malaysian travel companies. 

Guests from Malaysia were introduced to the tourism potential of Namangan and Ferghana regions. In turn, the Malaysian company also presented its presentations in the field of tourism. In addition, proposals were made to launch charter flights for the convenience of tourists, and opinions were expressed about changes in the industry.

As part of the business forum, a trip was organized for the guests to Namangan region with a high tourist potential, to the native shrines "Sultan Uvays Karoniy" and "Bibi Naima" in the Chartak region, as well as to the open-air museum "Akhsikent" in the Turakurgan region.
