Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbek boxer Israil Madrimov will face the "interim" WBC champion in the middleweight division, Vergil Ortiz Jr.
The fight will take place on 22 February 2025, at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The main event of the evening will feature a rematch between the undisputed light-heavyweight champion Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol.
As a reminder, on 21 December 2024, Israil Madrimov will fight Ukrainian Sergey Bohachuk. This bout will also take place at the tournament in Saudi Arabia.
In August, former WBA world champion in the middleweight division Israil Madrimov faced two-time undisputed world champion, American Terence Crawford. Crawford won by unanimous decision, claiming both the WBA and WBO championship titles.
