On 14 and 15 of June President Islam Karimov visited Navoi region to familiarize with realization of socioeconomic reforms in the region, after his visit to Bukhara region.

Uzbek leader familiarized with construction works at the airport of Navoiy city.

The airport has its strategic importance.

"Due to its location Navoiy airport has great importance," said Islam Karimov.

President Karimov gave recommendations for further improvements, UzA reported.
