Islam Karimov: External debt of Uzbekistan does not exceed 15%

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- External debt of Uzbekistan does not exceed 15% to the gross domestic product (GDP), the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov said at the solemn ceremony dedicated to the 22nd anniversary of the Constitution of Uzbekistan.

During his speech, Uzbek President underlined that internal debt, thus the state debt before population, is equal to zero.

Uzbek leader underlined that the volume of exports and gold-currency reserves are increasing.

Islam Karimov said that despite global crisis Uzbekistan records at least 8% GDP growth in last 10 years. He said that the country expects the same level of growth in 2015 as well.

Last year, Uzbek President said that the size of external debt of Uzbekistan does not exceed 16% to the GDP.
