The document was signed within the visit of the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov to Russia, which took place on 14-15 April 2013.
Uzbek leader entrusted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan to notify the Russian side that Uzbekistan carried out all necessary inter-governmental procedures, which are necessary for entering of the agreement into force.
In last five years, the volume of Russian investments into economy of Uzbekistan exceeded US$6 billion.
Currently, some 850 Russian-Uzbek companies are operating in Uzbekistan, while representative offices of more than 100 Russian enterprises are accredited in our country. In excess of 400 companies with Uzbek capital are run in Russia. The Uzbek-Russian partnership has been dynamic in fuel and energy sector, with Russia’s largest hydrocarbon companies working successfully and effectively in Uzbekistan.
