Islam Karimov appoints new governor of Khorezm region
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov replaced governor of Khorezm region, western Uzbekistan, on 24 January 2012.
The Uzbek leader with his decree released Ollabergan Ollaberganov from the post of the governor of Khorezm region.
With other decree, Islam Karimov appointed Polat Bobojonov as acting governor of Khorezm region.
Ollabergan Ollaberganov had worked as governor of the region from February 2008. Prior to appointment, Polat Bobojonov worked as the first deputy governor of Khorezm region.
