The concert programme included works of Sergei Rachmaninoff, Ludwig van Beethoven, and Sergei Prokofeev.
The concert will be given by Irena Gulzarova (piano), Irina Georgieva (piano), the State National Symphonic Orchestra of Uzbekistan led by director Pr. Vladimir Neimer.
The concert is organized by the State National Symphonic Orchestra of Uzbekistan, National Specialized Musical Academic Lyceum named after Uspenskiy at the support of Fund Forum of Culture and Art of Uzbekistan and Public Education Ministry.
The event will kick off at 18:30. The cost of the ticket is 3,000 soums.
Irena Gulzarova
“Irena Gulzarova is one of the most talented students I have ever met during all my 35 years of pedagogical career”, Rudolf Buchbinder said.
Irena Gulzarova born in Tashkent, in 1982, into a family of musicians. She began playing the piano at the age of six. After graduation from the specialized school for gifted children named after Uspensky in 2000 she was accepted to the Tashkent State Conservatory to the class of professor M.Gumarov. In 2004 she obtained a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in 2006. While studying at the conservatory, Ms.Gulzarova also took classes in Moscow by professor of the Moscow conservatorie A.Mndoyants. In 2003 Irena Gulzarova has been selected to participate in Rudolf Buchbinder's master-courses in Zurich. In 2005 Mr.Buchbinder invited the young pianist to study in his master-class in Basel Music Academy, where in 2008-2010 she got her Concert and Soloist Diplomas.
Ms.Gulzarova’s first concert performance was at the age of 8. At 13 she had a concert tour in Germany. In 1997 – first victory at the International Piano Competition in Palma de Mallorca: the jury unanimously has awarded the youngest participant 1st Prize.
In 1998 the one of the leading groups of the Great Britain, a piano trio “Barbican”, which was on tour in Uzbekistan, recommended her to apply to a grant to study in the UK. Supported by the Soros Foundation and the British Embassy, the young pianist has received an opportunity to improve her skills in an ensemble at the chamber music school “Pro Corda” (Suffolk). Two intensive Courses and the work with the famous English musicians rendered a huge influence on the further growth of the pianist. In the same year she won 1st Prize at International Piano Competition in Salerno (Italy).
The next step of development for Irena Gulzarova has become her acquaintance with the famous violinist and conductor Vladimir Spivakov.After getting the grant of Spivakov International Charity Foundation in 2000, Ms. Gulzarova has represented this foundation at various European and NIS concert stages. After one of the performances at the Oxford festival, an English musical critic Bruce Morrison has predicted the brilliant future to Irena.
In a row with performances in other countries Ms. Gulzarova has been often performing in her motherland - Uzbekistan. During the long years of cooperation with the National Symphonic orchestra of Uzbekistan (since 1999) they have performed together in more than 30 concerts.
Ms.Gulzarova’s début in 2007 at the stage of Basel Stadt Casino with the Symphonic orchestra of Basel has been enthusiastically accepted by the public and press.

At leisure Irena Gulzarova has devoted her time to reading and photography. She has also been fond of musical criticism, she has written articles, sketches and reviews.
Irina Georgieva
Born in 1978 in Sofia, Bulgaria, Irina Georgieva commenced her musical career at the tender age of 6 years old. She was soon captivating audiences with her technical skill, artistic talent and mature interpretation, winning her first national competition at the age of 10.
She has subsequently studied under some of Europe’s leading maestros, graduating from the Sofia Conservatoire in 2001 and winning a scholarship to the Basel Music Academy, under Prof. Rudolf Buchbinder, from where she graduated with honours in 2004.
Irina has regularly attracted audience acclaim and has won numerous awards throughout her career. She has performed concerts in Germany, Bulgaria, Switzerland and Lithuania, earning positive reviews for her virtuoso technique, sweeping lyricism and mastery of some particularly physically demanding pieces. She has also been engaged for radio recordings and television appearances.
