Iranian road and transport minister meets first deputy prime minister of Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Minister of Roads and Transportation of Iran Hameed Behbehani met the first deputy prime minister and finance minister of Uzbekistan Rustam Azimov. The sides considered issues on expanding bilateral cooperation, IRNA reported.

Hameed Behbehani said close cooperation with the countries of the region is priority for Iran. He said Iran is planning to create transport infrastructure and complete construction of railway and automobile roads, which will make Persian Gulf for accessible for Central Asian states.

Rustam Azimov noted that Uzbekistan is for expansion of cooperation with Iran in transport sector. He said Iran and Uzbekistan should develop their relation based on new realities.

Underlining that main part of the Uzbek goods transported to Persian Gulf via Iran railways, Rustam Azimov called the Iranian side to cut transportation tariffs.
