Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A telephone conversation was held between President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ebrahim Raisi.

At the beginning of the conversation, the head of Iran sincerely congratulated the leader of our country on his convincing victory in the early presidential elections in Uzbekistan that took place the day before.

The Iranian President also conveyed congratulations and greetings from the Supreme Spiritual Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei.

Issues of practical implementation of the agreements reached at the highest level following the results of an official visit to Iran in June of this year were considered.

It was noted with satisfaction that the parties have begun the practical implementation of industrial cooperation projects in accordance with the adopted Roadmap.

The importance of continuing intensive contacts, including at the level of business circles and administrations of the regions of the two countries, was emphasized.

An exchange of views also took place on issues of the regional agenda, including cooperation within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the Economic Cooperation Organization.
