Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Iran, Fariddin Nasriev, visited the prominent Iranian agricultural logistics hub and export terminal "Romak Co." spanning 31 hectares.
Specializing in the storage and processing of citrus fruits, the center handles up to 4 million tons of products annually and collaborates with Iraq, the UAE, Russia, and Central Asian countries.
During a meeting with the center's director, Reza Ghanji, prospects for cooperation with Uzbekistan were discussed. The Uzbek delegation presented information on the country’s agricultural export potential. Both sides explored investment opportunities, including the possibility of establishing a similar modern logistics hub in Uzbekistan.
The Iranian representatives expressed their readiness to collaborate with Uzbekistan across all stages — from growing and storing citrus fruits to packaging and preparing them for export. This partnership opens new avenues for Uzbekistan’s agricultural sector and expands access to international markets.
