Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki on Tuesday called for boosting Iran-Uzbek relations to keep up with the current economic ties.

Iran’s embassy in Uzbekistan conveyed Mottaki’s response to the message of Uzbek Foreign Minister Vladimir Norov on the occasion of 15th anniversary of resuming diplomatic ties between the two country.

In his message, obtained by IRNA, Mottaki wished prosperity and progress for Uzbek government and people.

Iran and Uzbekistan have resumed diplomatic relations since 1992.
