Mottaki said, "There are vast potential for mutual cooperation and bolstering of bilateral relations," said Mottaki, who arrived in Turkmenistan Monday morning to attend opening of a regional diplomatic center in Central Asia and a seminar organized by the center.

Mottaki said the Iranian and Uzbek governments are seriously determined to facilitate further promotion of bilateral ties.

Norov said his country is also calling for stronger relations given the positive and constructive role of Iran at regional and international levels.

He said cargo transit through Iranian ports is of high significance for Uzbekistan and his country is ready to remove certain barriers to further expansion of cargo transit by forming joint technical committees.
