Investment opportunities of Uzbekistan presented at a conference in the Chinese city of Changzhou

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Diplomats of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Shanghai took part in the 4th Changzhou Conference on Engineering and Industrial Development of New Energy, held in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, Dunyo news agency reported.

The conference is dedicated to the development of the new energy production chain and exports in this direction, as the number of global consumers is increasing due to the growth in the number of smart, green, low-carbon and energy-saving equipment based on new energy technologies.

The conference included one main program and 5 parallel forums on various topics. It was attended by about 2 thousand representatives of the production of cars, batteries and composite parts, as well as equipment suppliers.

During the event, a presentation was held on the topic “Investment Opportunities of Uzbekistan”. It provided detailed information on free economic zones created in our country, tax, customs and other benefits provided to non-residents investing foreign capital, transport and logistics opportunities, and the market of the Central Asian region. At the same time, the progress made in recent years in Uzbekistan in creating a sound policy and investment environment, as well as in introducing reforms in the field of transition to "green" energy and its implementation was demonstrated.

It was also noted that favorable conditions and guarantees have been created for investors interested in investing in Uzbekistan, which is reflected in the country’s fundamental law - a new version of the Constitution, adopted at a national referendum held on April 30 this year.

At the event, the participants were acquainted with the effective results of the policy of openness and tourism development pursued by the government of our country in recent years, and videos related to this topic were also shown.

In addition, it was noted that a visa-free regime was introduced for the entry into Uzbekistan of citizens of 91 foreign countries. In particular, it was reported that from 1 March 2021, a system of visa-free stay of Chinese citizens in Uzbekistan for up to 10 days was created.

Within the framework of the conference, meetings were held with a number of Chinese companies, issues related to investing in Uzbekistan and opening their representative offices in the future were discussed.
