Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Within the framework of the Asian Women’s Forum, the Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbayeva received the Deputy Chairman of the Advisory Council of the State of Qatar, Ms. Hamda bint Hassan al-Sulaiti.

During the meeting, the parties emphasized that friendly and partnership relations between Uzbekistan and Qatar are rapidly developing, in particular, regular political consultations have been established. Diplomatic relations have reached a new level, and the opening of the Qatar Embassy in our country and the diplomatic mission of Uzbekistan in Doha opened a new page in the history of bilateral relations.

As part of the dialogue, attention was paid to interparliamentary relations between the two countries, and issues such as the active continuation of an active dialogue between interparliamentary groups and relevant committees were discussed in detail.

In addition, representatives of the parliaments of the two countries agreed to more actively cooperate and exchange experience within the framework of international organizations and other areas of bilateral relations.
