Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The 6th International Weightlifting Solidarity Championship has ended in the capital. Today, competitions were held among athletes in the heavy weight category.

It is noteworthy that in the weight category -109 kg, our athlete Akbar Juraev performed. In a jerk, he managed to lift 189 kg, and in the clean and jerk 221 kg. Undoubtedly, the rest of the athletes did not manage to repeat such an indicator, and our representative won three gold medals at once. It should be noted that Juraev updated his personal record in the direction of the jerk (previously his record was 188 kg).

Also, Umarbek Shokhnazarov (-102 kg) was awarded bronze medals. It should be noted that our young athlete worthily competed with famous athletes like Ilya Ilyin and Fares Ilbakh.
