Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As part of the First Annual Tourism Fair of the CIS and a meeting of the Tourism Council, an international scientific and practical seminar on the theme “Tourism in the CIS countries and regional cooperation: new challenges and opportunities” was held.
The seminar brought together rectors and vice-rectors of leading universities in the tourist destinations of the CIS countries. One of the main issues on the agenda of the seminar was the proposal to implement the project of the network university “Silk Road” and the exchange of students in leading universities of the CIS countries, which was supported by the participants of the seminar.
Following the event, the Silk Road International University of Tourism signed Memorandums of Cooperation with such specialized universities as Talas State University (Kyrgyzstan), Technological University (Tajikistan), Armenian Tourism Institute (Branch of the Russian International Academy of Tourism), Khazar University (Baku, Azerbaijan ), Kokshetau University (Kazakhstan), International University of Tourism and Hospitality (Kazakhstan).
