Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 9 July this year, First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Sodyk Safoyev met with Thomas Shannon, former US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, Senior Advisor for International Policy at the international law firm Arnold & Porter Kaye scholer LLP.

The meeting discussed issues of multilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United States, as well as the presidential elections taking place today.
