Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 7-8 October 2022, Samarkand will host the International Gastronomic Festival, where visitors will enjoy delicious food and festive performances.

Event organizers are Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, Khokimiyat of Samarkand region and Association of Chefs of Uzbekistan.

The purpose of the festival is to widely popularize the gastronomic potential of the country, promote international cooperation in the direction of gastronomic tourism, increase the tourist flow by popularizing national culinary traditions.

The competition will be attended by teams of chefs from foreign countries and each region of the Republic of Uzbekistan, chefs of public catering establishments serving tourists from foreign countries. By the end of the festival, the jury will evaluate the prepared dishes and determine the most experienced chefs who will be awarded valuable prizes.
