Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — One of the largest international B2B tourism exhibitions, Tashkent Travel Mart-2024 (TTM-2024), has kicked off in Tashkent, organized by the Association of Private Tourism Organizations of Uzbekistan with the support of the Tourism Committee.
The event has gathered representatives from tourism companies from Central Asia, Egypt, the UAE, Malaysia, Georgia, Russia, Turkey, and other countries.
Umid Shadiev, head of the Tourism Committee, spoke at the opening ceremony, emphasizing the significance of tourism as a key sector that contributes to the economic and social development of Uzbekistan. He highlighted that this importance is why the country’s leadership pays special attention to the sector’s development.
On the first day of the exhibition, the TRAVELHUB Uzbekistan conference was held, focusing on developing unique tourism products and the digitalization of tourism and hospitality in Uzbekistan. The conference addressed the implementation of innovations to strengthen business positions in the international arena and radically change business approaches. Experts from the USA, Turkey, Croatia, Russia, and other countries participated in the forum.
On 30 October, the exhibition will continue with B2B meetings aimed at fostering international cooperation and promoting Uzbek tourism on a global scale.
