Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Development Strategy Center, in collaboration with the Office of the UN Resident Coordinator in Uzbekistan, organized a public discussion on the draft Presidential Decree regarding the State Program for implementing the "Uzbekistan-2030" Strategy in the Year of Environmental Protection and the "Green Economy."
The event brought together more than 200 experts, including representatives from the Senate and Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, the diplomatic corps, international organizations (UN, World Bank, Islamic Development Bank, EBRD, OSCE), government ministries and agencies, civil society, and the media. Additionally, over 30 foreign experts from various countries contributed to the discussion.
The primary goal of the discussion was to improve the draft State Program by gathering feedback and suggestions from a broad audience, including international experts. Participants reviewed 295 practical initiatives, 87 regulatory legal acts, and 269 target indicators outlined in the draft.
It was emphasized that the State Program is a conceptual document aimed at building a just society and ensuring the well-being of Uzbekistan’s citizens in the context of globalization.
The participants highlighted the importance of open discussion, alignment with international standards, and broad public involvement in developing strategic documents. Since January 8, the "Uzbekistan-2030" Strategy draft has been available for public consultation on the uzbekistan2030 portal, allowing everyone to provide comments and suggestions.
The event concluded with an exchange of views on improving the draft State Program, underscoring Uzbekistan’s commitment to transparency and international cooperation in implementing the "Uzbekistan-2030" Strategy.
