Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On the sidelines of the Lineapelle exhibition, the chairman of the Uzcharmsanoat association, Fakhriddin Boboev, met with the executive director of the International Certification Organization of Great Britain (SLF) Deborah Tyler. 

During the meeting, issues of accelerating the processes of obtaining certificates from this organization for another group of leather and footwear enterprises in Uzbekistan, as well as introducing European quality management standards into their production processes, were discussed.

SLF is a large international certification organization that assesses compliance with environmental, labor, social and economic principles in the processing and production of leather products. Receiving a certificate from this organization means that businesses fully comply with all UK and EU standards. Today, more than 200 enterprises are members of the organization.

During the meeting, representatives of the organization were provided with detailed information about the international certification requirements introduced in Uzbekistan, as well as about the work carried out to improve the environmental friendliness of production, ensuring decent working conditions and social protection of workers. There was also a constructive exchange of views regarding the membership of a group of enterprises of Uzbekistan in the SLF and the adaptation of the current management system in them to the standards of the European Union.

It was reported that the enterprises “Top Quality Brand”, “Angren Charm Invest”, “Peng Sheng Charm”, “Hamkor Nur”, which plan to receive this certificate, are already completing the processes of adapting technical parameters, management systems and ensuring product quality to the requirements established by the certificates . In this regard, organizational issues of accelerated delivery of SLF certificates to these enterprises were also considered.
