Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On further improving the efficiency of the state budget expenditures of the Republic of Uzbekistan and improvement of the activities of state financial control bodies” the task to organize continuous improvement of the qualifications of internal auditors is assigned to the Ministry of Finance.

Within the framework of the task assigned, the Ministry of Finance held an online seminar on the topic “International cooperation in the development of internal audit system.

Azamat Jabborov, a head of Division of Internal Audit Services at the State Budget Department of the Ministry of Finance opened the seminar and presented information on the results of the plenary meeting of the Public Finance Management International Cooperation Education Program (PEMPAL).

Based on the results of the plenary meeting, information was provided on the presentations of best international practices by experts from foreign countries and the manuals developed by the Internal Audit Community.

After giving a brief information about the manuals of the internal audit community, an online survey was conducted between participants to identify the most important manual in practice. According to the results of the survey, it was agreed to deliver the manuals that received the most votes to the internal auditors.

Also during the seminar information was given about the results of conference on the topic “International cooperation in the development of internal audit system” that was held by The European Confederation of Institute of Internal Auditors.

As part of the presentation of the conference, the participants were informed about the importance of internal audit in the information world, the future internal auditor and risk management, internal and external audit in the public sector, and the opinions expressed by international experts on the topics of "Three-line protection model". Then, the participants of the seminar discussed the opinions, questions and suggestions on international cooperation and its development.

The seminar was held in the form of  lively discussion and question-and-answer session. The Ministry of Finance experts gave detailed answers to the questions asked by the employees of the internal audit services of the ministries and agencies.

After that, an online survey was conducted with the participants on the topics of the seminar that should be organized in the future. According to the results of the survey, it was agreed to organize seminars that received the most votes from participants.
