Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 5 December 2024, Samarkand will host the International Conference titled “Prospects for the Peaceful Use of Nuclear Energy for Sustainable Development of OIC Member States: International and National Experience.”
The event is organized by the Presidential Administration, the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan, and the Nuclear Energy Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers.
The conference will bring together high-ranking participants, including government officials, deputies of the Oliy Majlis, representatives of state bodies, scientists, private sector stakeholders, and leading experts in nuclear energy.
Specialists from Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states, Central and South Asia, Russia, the Middle East, the EU, the USA, as well as representatives from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the World Nuclear Association (WNA), will join the discussions.
The conference aims to strengthen international cooperation and develop strategic approaches for the safe utilization of nuclear energy.
