Intel and Lenovo hand over 30 mobile devices to schools in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Intel and Lenovo handed over 30 notebooks and 2-in-1 transformers of Lenovo based on Intel technologies to UNESCO Country Office in Uzbekistan for launch of pilot classes at five schools in Karakalpakstan.

At the press conference in Tashkent, Dmitry Kisel, a regional director of Intel in Central Asia and Caucasus, briefed the participants on key trends in education sphere, including access to Internet, affordable prices for computers, growth of digital content and need for personalized education.

Kisel said that one student and one computer is ideal model for education and computer is main tool of education.

Intel works on developing specialized complex solutions for education, which include hardware, software and electronic content. Currently, there are wide range devices in the market – notebooks, ultrabooks, transformers and tablets, which are based on Intel solutions.

Currently, about 150 million school children undergo education on modern technologies and over 10 million students use Intel® Education Solutions.

Intel educational programme has been implemented in Uzbekistan since 2010 in cooperation with UNESCO Office in Uzbekistan. In 2012, Intel hand over 60 mobile devices to three specialized schools. The corporation organized several educational training for teachers and 70,000 teachers from Uzbekistan underwent programme Intel Teach Get Started.
