Innoprom-2023: leather and footwear companies sign new contracts

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Uzcharmsanoat Association and a delegation of its member enterprises take part in the Innoprom-2023 industrial exhibition, which this year is held under the theme "Sustainable production: renewal strategies" in Yekaterinburg, Russian Federation. The collective stand "Made in Uzbekistan" has become a platform for demonstrating, among other things, the achievements of our leather and footwear industry. More than 100 types of finished leather, shoes, leather goods, raw materials and accessories are presented.

The delegation of the Association held talks with companies and manufacturing enterprises from different regions of Russia on the issues of expanding bilateral cooperation, investment and exports.

In particular, the Uzcharmsanoat Association reached an agreement with PELLE TECHNOLOGY LLC on the production of finished leather together with Karavan-SK OJSC in the Tashkent region, the parties have already begun the practical part of the work. The preliminary cost of the project is estimated at $2 million.

Export issues were also discussed during the exhibition. Thus, the Ulkan Laziz enterprise reached an agreement with the Russian private business entity Galimova Flera Rakhimovna on the supply of special footwear to the Russian Federation. The cost of the contract is 200 thousand dollars.

Ulkan Laziz also signed an agreement for the export of finished leather to India. According to the contract concluded with Richmarks International LLC, leather worth $500,000 will be delivered to India by the end of 2023.

In addition, Uzbek enterprises held a series of negotiations with representatives of Russian and Chinese companies.

The automobile company "Chaika-Service" and the enterprise "Russian Metal Rolling" are interested in purchasing safety shoes from Uzbekistan. The Inter Active company expressed its readiness to cooperate with Uzbekistan in the direction of certification of special footwear made in Uzbekistan for further expansion of sales markets.

With another Russian company, Zero Ecotechnopark, a project was discussed to process waste generated in the leather and footwear industry.

The Chinese company "AWUKO" expressed a desire to participate in the process of modernization of leather and footwear enterprises in our country.

It should be noted that Innoprom has once again justified its status as the largest international platform for finding new customers, suppliers and investors.
