Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The government of Uzbekistan has issued a resolution on the efficient use of buildings and facilities of the Department of Corrections and its affiliated institutions, as well as the implementation of modern information and communication technologies.

The document approves the Regulation on the procedure for leasing property, buildings, and structures of the Department of Corrections. 

Online auctions for lease contracts will be conducted through the "E-auksion" platform, and contract registration will be handled via the "online-ijara.uz" system.

Additionally, the Regulation on the implementation of information kiosks with Face-ID system in correctional facilities has been approved. The Department defines the quantity and technical requirements for the kiosks, taking into account the needs of the inmates.

A commission is being formed to install the information kiosks, which will advertise through periodic publications and the Ministry of Interior's website to attract potential investors.

Selection criteria include experience in e-commerce, software for operating Face-ID kiosks, financial stability, and necessary permits.

Contracts with successful investors will be concluded for periods ranging from 6 months to 3 years.
