The annual ICT Week – will be held in Tashkent and Samarkand on 24-28 September.
The aim of the event is to unite the efforts of all market participants, government, public and international organizations toward the intensified development of ICT as a sector, wide integration of ICT as an tool for country’s development, as well as to attract public attention to the achievements in the field and discuss the practical aspects of making the most out of integration of ICT, infoCOM.uz informs.
The organizers of the ICT week are the Coordination Council for the Development of Computerisation and ICT, Uzbek Agency of Communication and Information, UNDP Project "Assisting the Government of Uzbekistan in the formulation and implementation of ICT for development policy", Association of IT Enterprises and Organisations of Uzbekistan, the Centre of Scientific-Technical and Marketing Studies, Uzinfocom Centre, Uzbektelecom, and InfoCOM.UZ magazine.
The Steering Committee has approved the preliminary agenda of the week. The main events of the InfoCom 2007 will be the Annual National IT Exhibition – ICT Expo 2007 in Tashkent and Samarkand, International Conference at the Tashkent University of Information Technology, meeting of the Commission of the Regional Commonwealth in the field of Communication, International ICT Summit 2007, and the conclusion of the results of the .Uz domain Internet festival.
