UNIStream launched new programme on emission of client’s cards, which is used during money transfer in August 2010. The system issues client’s cards at the transaction of over US$50 and the cards are valid worldwide.

Introduction of the cards helped to decrease registration period of transactions to two minutes and minimize mistakes at registrations. The system said that the cards are used in 75 of 100 transactions in Uzbekistan.

The Uzbek bank also said that SMS-notification service has been also launched. The service allows to receive information on status of transaction to mobile phone.

The holders of client’s cards will be also eligible to participate in bonus programme of UNIStream and participate in prize draws.

UNIStream International Money Transfer System was launched in 2001. Currently, the system is one of the largest money transfer systems in the world. Its share in the CIS market makes u 25%.

According to the company, the turnover of the system in 2010 made up US$3.92 billion and number of transactions – 6.1 million. Incoming transactions from Russia to Uzbekistan reached US$568 million in 2010, and outgoing – US$29 million in 2010. The number of remittances reached 940,000.
