Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In 2023, 67,322 legal entities engaged in production activities (excluding AGMK and NGMK) allocated about 41.6 trillion soums to pay taxes.

The distribution of revenues by type of tax for these taxpayers is as follows:

- VAT - 6.5 trillion soums;
- excise tax - 3.7 trillion soums;
- tax for the use of subsoil - 2.1 trillion soums;
- income tax - 1.9 trillion soums;
- Personal income tax - 1 trillion soums;
- social tax - 921.7 billion soums;
- property tax - 642.3 billion soums;
- land tax - 343.2 billion soums;
- tax for the use of water resources - 110.6 billion soums;
- other taxes - 1.5 trillion soums.

Of these, the 20 largest taxpayers paid 18.9 trillion soums (45% of the revenues of industrial enterprises). Their total turnover amounted to 162.5 trillion soums (30% of the total turnover of industrial enterprises), and the amount of tax breaks they applied exceeded 2.5 trillion soums.

In 2023, Uzbekneftegaz took first place, as last year, in terms of the volume of taxes paid with a figure of 4.78 trillion soums (+10.6%). The company’s turnover reached 18.36 trillion soums (+53.8%).

In second place was UzAuto Motors, which paid 2.52 trillion soums (+22.8%) to the budget with a turnover of 53.94 trillion soums (+63.1%).

UzBAT dropped to third place with tax revenues of 2.39 trillion soums.

The fourth place was taken by Thermal Power Plants JSC with tax revenues of 1.47 trillion soums, and the fifth place was taken by the Bukhara Oil Refinery with tax revenues of 1.06 trillion soums.

The total amount of tax benefits for manufacturing companies for the year amounted to 14.35 trillion soums.

Companies from the top 20 received benefits worth 2.55 trillion soums. Uz-Kor Gas Chemical received tax benefits worth 899.1 billion soums and UzAuto Motors - 824.6 billion soums.
