Indonesia: Uzbekistan is seen as "New Destination for Muslim Tourists"

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 27-29 June, the exhibition “Trisakti Tourism Award” and the fair of products and services “Indonesia Halal Expo-2019” were held in Jakarta (Indonesia).

The prestigious tourism event was attended by representatives of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the development of tourism with a single national stand. At the conference, held in the framework of the exhibition, Indonesia’s experience in the development of tourism, in particular pilgrim tourism, was presented, and the successes achieved and international experience were described. Reported by the Press Service of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the development of tourism

An interesting fact is that at the conference only Uzbekistan was chosen as a foreign country. At the event a presentation of the tourist potential of Uzbekistan on the theme “New Destination for Muslim Tourists” was held.

“After reviewing the tourism potential of Uzbekistan, we were convinced that in your country there are many conditions for the development of pilgrim tourism,” said Mrs. Viryanti Sukamdani, President of the “Trisakti Tourism Award.” Thanks to two initiatives by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, from February 10, 2018, the visa visa has been canceled a system for citizens of Indonesia, as well as a direct flight connection Tashkent-Jakarta-Tashkent, which was a serious reason for the development of tourist and economic ties between the two countries. "

According to Ms. Viryanti Sukamdani, these positive factors can serve as the main incentive to increase the number of potential tourists wishing to visit the beautiful and unique country, the center of the world heritage of Islamic civilization, created by great scientists and thinkers born on this earth.

And the simplification of the visa system in relation to many countries may lead to Uzbekistan becoming one of the leaders in world tourism. Recall that Mrs. Virjanti is the President of the Sahid Group Foundation, one of the largest hotel chains in Indonesia and, at the initiative of the State Tourism Development Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, is implementing the Sahid Hotel project in halal standard, which is being built in Samarkand region, near Imam Al-Bukhari Mausoleum.
