Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations on 18 June, at 16:15, the elevator of an apartment building located along Navruz street, Yangikhayot district of Tashkent, accelerated due to a technical malfunction, and when approaching the 1st floor elevator automatic braking system worked.

As a result, 11 citizens who were in the elevator were taken to the Republican Scientific Center for Emergency Medical Care with minor injuries of varying severity.

Currently, 8 citizens have been discharged home from the hospital, and the remaining 3 citizens are receiving medical assistance.

Employees and the leadership of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the city and the region, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Prosecutor’s Office and the Ministry of Health left for the scene.
