Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Government resolution approved the Regulations on the procedure for establishing systematic control and taking the necessary measures to prevent unreasonable overpricing of basic types of food and essential goods during periods of sharp fluctuations prices.

According to the Regulations, the analysis is carried out by the authorized body in cases of sharp fluctuations in prices or in case of excessive demand in the market.

The period of sharp fluctuations in prices for basic foodstuffs is established by the Cabinet of Ministers for up to 6 months, when the prices for these products rise to a level equal to or higher than the base rate of the Central Bank within the last 30 days or when there is a rush demand in the market.

Systematically, in order to track the dynamics of price changes for the main types of goods, monitoring is carried out by collecting information:

about daily formed prices in the markets, stock exchanges, in shopping malls, retail chains;

from statistical and customs authorities (information, bulletin, etc.);

from the media and social networks;

from other sources not prohibited by law.

When identifying signs that caused an artificial shortage of products (goods) in the market, the authorized body directly visits the premises of economic entities, as well as inventory of available stocks in the warehouse.

The Rules of the Regulation apply to highly liquid and monopoly types of products, raw materials and materials, as well as to the following socially significant main types of food products:

- wheat and flour;

- molded bread;

- beef;

- poultry meat;

- eggs;

- cottonseed oil;

- sunflower oil;

- rice;

- sugar;

- milk (packaged).
