Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In April 2024, experts from the Institute of Macroeconomic and Regional Research (IMRI) conducted regular monitoring of prices for food products for 21 items in the largest supermarket chains in Tashkent.

The monitoring results showed that for 6 items the minimum prices decreased compared to the previous month*. The decrease in prices for lemon was 18.8%, cucumber - 17.6%, chicken egg - 17.3%, banana - 13.5%, chicken meat (fillet) - 6.8%, yellow onion - 5.4% .

For 8 items, the minimum prices remained unchanged. Among them are wheat flour, rice, buckwheat, pasta, sugar, cabbage, margarine, sunflower oil.

Prices have increased for 7 items. The leader in price growth is tomato. This increase is due to seasonal factors.
