Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- IMRI experts analyzed the dynamics of industrial development by main types of economic activity in January-June 2023.

In the first half of 2023, the industrial production of Uzbekistan achieved positive development results compared to the same period of last year.

The total volume of industrial production increased by 5.6% and reached 293.6 trillion. soums, including in the manufacturing industry - 6.3%, in the sector of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning - 9.9%.

In all regions of Uzbekistan, there is a positive growth in industrial production. At the same time, the manufacturing industry was the main driver of growth.

Active growth in the production of certain types of products was observed in the oil refining industry, the production of textiles, the automotive industry and metalworking.

Over the period January-June 2023, the share of industrial sectors in the volume of investments in fixed capital increased. The largest share of investments falls on the manufacturing industry - 30.2% of the total investment in the economy. The mining industry accounted for 8.0%, the energy supply, gas, steam and air conditioning sector - 7.5%.
