IMRI experts analyzed the development of construction work in the regions of the country for 9 months of 2023

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Experts from the Institute of Macroeconomic and Regional Research (IMRI) conducted a comparative analysis of the development of construction work in the regions of the country for 9 months of 2023.

In January-September 2023, construction work worth 107.8 trillion soums was completed in the republic, with a growth rate of 5.6% compared to the same period of last year.

Using the growth dynamics index, a rating of regions for the development of construction work has been developed, aimed at determining the current level of the corresponding territorial complex and stimulating increased activity.

The ranking of regions for 9 months of 2023 revealed the following features of industry development in a territorial context:

- a high level of growth dynamics index was achieved in Ferghana (12.7%), Kashkadarya (9.0%), Tashkent (7.3%), Samarkand (7.0%) and Navoi (6.2%) regions, and also the Republic of Karakalpakstan, which ensured the accelerated development of construction work, which allowed them to take leading positions in the ranking of regions (1-6 places);

- the average level of the index was determined in Namangan (5.5%), Surkhandarya (5.3%) and Jizzakh (5.0%) regions (7-9 places);

- Andijan (4.0%), Bukhara (2.9%) and Khorezm (2.9%) regions have low indicators of the construction work growth dynamics index (10 - 12 places);

- Syrdarya region (0.3%) and the city of Tashkent (0.2%) are not sufficiently active in solving problems in this area of activity and occupy the last 13-14 places in the ranking.

The presence of significant industry potential and the systematic implementation of relevant organizational and technical measures in the industry create the prerequisites for ensuring positive indicators of the dynamics of construction work in all regions of the country by the end of 2023.
