Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, on 4 December, the Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbayeva, as part of her practical visit to Astana, held meetings with the Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Maulen Ashimbayev and the Chairman of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Erlan Koshanov.

Inter-parliamentary cooperation occupies an important place in relations between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. Therefore, representatives of the two countries constantly hold dialogues with each other.

As part of these meetings, agreements were reached on attention to legislation to provide a legal basis for agreements between states, as well as support for their implementation through parliamentary control.

Participation in the development of regional cooperation in Central Asia and the holding of an inter-parliamentary forum in Uzbekistan in 2024 also highlights the importance of such meetings for deepening mutual understanding and developing cooperation in the region.

High assessment of the results of the II Global Forum on Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation, held in Tashkent, indicates the significance and effectiveness of such events for the participants.

The agreement of the parties to continue joint initiatives and support each other within the framework of international parliamentary and other international organizations indicates the desire of both countries to deepen cooperation not only at the bilateral, but also at the multilateral level.
