The members of the Board of Executive Directors of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) have approved allocation of the funds to implementation of the project Construction of Modern Rural Housing Project (Phase-1).

The Government of Uzbekistan is implementing a programme on construction of habitation in rural areas.

Uzbekistan plans to invest US$2.2 billion to development of rural housing construction in rural areas till 2015.

By the end of 2015, it is planned to construct 41,400 houses on standard projects with total areas of about 6 million square meters.

Uzbekistan plans to construct 11,000 houses at 388 rural blocks with total area of 1.5 million square meters in 2014.
