Technologies 14/11/2008 ICT Council holds session
Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Cabinet of Ministers’ Coordination Council for Computerization and ICT Development held its regular session. The main issue on the agenda was providing interactive state services through the official websites, registration of state information resources and accepting reports of the economic entities in the electronic form.

According to the council, currently, 38 information systems of state bodies are registered in the country, which is 25 more than at the beginning of the year. The number of registered state information resources makes up 149, which is 104 more than on 1 January.

The ministries and other state bodies presently provide 43 basic and 34 additional interactive state services. The council said the number of these services and their quality should be improved, and called for the more efficient use of the computer technologies.

The representatives of the State tax committee and the State statistics committee made reports on the provision of state tax and statistics reports in the electronic form. The participants heard recommendations on expansion of the reporting system in all regions of the country.

The state bodies were told to create information systems and use electronic document circulation in working with the business and the people.
