Ibragimov clinches vacant IBA title
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan’s Timur Ibragimov knocked out Awadh Tamim in third round in a heavyweight bout on 6 February. The bout was held in Moscow, Russia.

Ibragimov knocked down Tamim twice in the third before referee Jon Schorle ended the match at 2:15 of the round.

Ibragimov (27-2-1; 15 KO) has now won his last six fights. As a result of this win, Ibragimov acquired the vacant IBA Intercontinental heavyweight title. He is hoping to advance himself in the ratings by acquiring multiple regional belts in the future.

Tamim (11-2; 6 KO) was simply out of his league against vastly more experienced Ibragimov. The Tanzanian, known for his aggressive style, was an open target for Ibragimov’s dangerous right hand, and was thus quickly obliterated.
