I-Teco creates technical platform for Uzbektelecom’s GIS
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Representative office of I-Teco in Tashkent successfully completed a project on creation of Geographic Information System (GIS) for Uzbektelecom, national telecommunication operator in Uzbekistan.
Uzbektelecom’s network covers territory of Uzbekistan and the company has large telecommunication infrastructure. Uzbektelecom decided to create system on centralized data gathering system from its objects with geographic information.
I-Teco said it in cooperation with ESRI (USA) won a tender of Uzbektelecom on creation of GIS in March 2012.
The project was implemented in several stages, including development of architecture and documentation of the system, supply of equipment and software ArcGIS, assembly, installation and setting of central servers, etc.
The GIS was launched in November 2012 and it allows analyze data, manage existing resource, plan development of network, etc.
