The hotel is constructed in Tashkent in line with the agreement of Hyatt Hotels Corporation (USA), Tashkent city administration and the Fund for Reconstruction and Development of Uzbekistan. The hotel will have 300 rooms.

Peter Norman, senior vice president, real estate and development, EAME for Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, said that the hotel will attract international travelers visiting Tashkent and it will be venue for large international conferences and festivals.

As reported earlier, in April 2012 Hyatt International, Tashkent city administration and FRDU signed agreement on construction of hotel with the cost of US$113 million. The project will be financed due to resources of the state budget of Uzbekistan for US$71 million and loan of FRDU for US$42 million.

Currently there are 865 tourism organizations in Uzbekistan, of which 374 are hotels. In 2012, number of tourists, who visited Uzbekistan, rose by 17.5% year-on-year and income from rendered services – 15% year-on-year.

Uzbekistan launched a hotel booking service, which is accessible at welcomehotels.uz. Soon it is planned to launch mechanism of booking and paying for hotel reservation via mobile apps.
