Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From 7 January, the low-cost airline Humo Air launched flights between Samarkand and Urgench. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan.

Flights will operate on Wednesdays and Sundays. The cost of one-way tickets starts from 159.4 thousand soums.

Humo Air is the first low-cost airline in Uzbekistan. The airline began operating its flights on 15 December 2023.

Humo Air was created on the basis of the property of the state unitary enterprise (SUE) “Airline of Special Aviation Works” (“AK SAR”) in 2020. Abour 43 An-2 aircraft, aircraft engines, flight simulators and other property were transferred to the authorized capital of Humo Air.

In January 2023, it became known that a private investment company from Switzerland, Valleyroad Capital, bought Humo Air for 27.2 billion soums.
