Huawei shared its experience in digital transformation and development of BPO services at the Digital Leadership Forum

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 7 July, Uzbekistan launched the Digital Leadership Forum, an event held by the Ministry of Digital Technologies and bringing together more than 300 IT companies, foreign organizations and entrepreneurs from around the world to study Uzbekistan’s achievements in digital transformation, opportunities for further development IT in the country and the conditions created to expand the potential for exporting digital services abroad. Being an active participant in the digital community of Uzbekistan for 24 years, Huawei took part in the panel sessions of the forum.

At the event, the head of one of the five regional resource centers for marketing and development of technological solutions (Marketing and Solution Sharing Center, MSSC), Ms. Amy Wang, presented the work of the MSSC center in Uzbekistan, which is open to provide internal BPO services. The main functions of the center are: the provision of services to support digital marketing, marketing events, network planning and design, consultation and research, contract development, development of ICT solutions, support for participation in tenders. The Regional Resource Center brings together specialists from various fields to strengthen the ICT infrastructure, implement digital transformation and provide comprehensive remote support for the development of ICT in the regions of Central Asia, the Middle East and Europe on the basis of the Uzbek office with the involvement of foreign specialists and local talents.

Mr. Paul Scanlan, Adviser to the President of the Huawei Global Carrier Division, took part in the panel session on the topic of Implementing digital government systems as part of the Digital Uzbekistan 2030 strategy. During the speech, the speaker noted the achievements of Uzbekistan in the implementation of digital transformation in recent years and revealed the company’s vision for the further technological development of the ICT industry in the country.

“Uzbekistan has made significant progress in digital development and has laid a solid foundation for the further development of the digital economy. The principles and policies of the Digital Uzbekistan 2030 strategy have created opportunities for developing talent, improving the investment climate and strengthening ICT infrastructure. Huawei, which has 24 years of experience in Uzbekistan, sees its further development in the country through the innovative integration of next-generation digital technologies such as 5G, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence. We are committed to strengthening close collaboration with the public sector, telecom operators, enterprises, local and global partners to accelerate the intelligent digital transformation of various industries, improve user experience and create more value for society,” shared Paul Scanlan.

Last year, Uzbekistan made significant progress in the development of mobile and fixed infrastructure, as well as the digitalization of public services and the deployment of cloud computing and Big Data technologies through the implementation of a project to launch a single data center. Given the progress and trends in the further development and widespread introduction of digital services, the Digital Government Project Management Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan, together with the international consulting company Roland Berger, with the support of Huawei, presented the White Paper on the development of e-government and ICT infrastructure in Uzbekistan. The document defines the best global practices that are relevant for Uzbekistan in terms of the policy of further development of e-government, strengthening infrastructure through the introduction of the latest technologies, developing human capital and the digital economy, and improving digital government services.
