Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Huawei and China Unicom have jointly launched the first 10G standard broadband network in China, in Sunan County, Hebei Province, marking a major advancement in the country’s internet infrastructure, according to Mydrivers.
The high-speed network is based on advanced 50G PON (Passive Optical Network) technology. By upgrading the core fiber-optic access architecture, the system achieved a significant boost in performance—raising speeds from gigabit to 10G levels and reducing latency to just a few milliseconds.
During real-world testing, a household connected to the new network recorded a download speed of 9,834 Mbps and an upload speed of 1,008 Mbps, with latency as low as three milliseconds, the report said.
