Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 11 April 2019, the Hoteliers Association, together with local and foreign partners, hosted the Welcome Forum "Hospitality 2.0: Challenges and Solutions" in the capital hotel International Hotel Tashkent.

The main purpose of the forum is to form an ideology for the development and importance of the hospitality industry for the economy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, to participate in the exchange of best practices in creating a civilized industry infrastructure, popularizing the hotelier profession, providing marketing, consulting and information services, as well as creating a database of highly qualified specialists. recruitment.

A significant step in the implementation of the tasks was the creation of a new structure - the Association of Hoteliers, which will expand and improve the quality of hotel services. The main goal of the new structure is the development of the domestic hotel industry, expansion and improvement of the quality of hotel services, participation and development of national and international programs in the hotel industry.

Tourism is one of the rapidly developing and high-income sectors of the world economy, and also contributes to the strengthening of international socio-economic, cultural and spiritual ties. Today, Uzbekistan pays special attention to reforming the tourism industry, developing and improving the regulatory framework for the sustainable development of the industry, organizing services for foreign guests in accordance with international standards, effectively using the huge tourist potential of the republic and increasing the flow of foreign tourists.

Abdulaziz Akkulov, the Acting Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development, spoke at the opening ceremony of the Forum. In his speech he welcomed the participants of the Forum and congratulated the guests on the opening of the Hoteliers Association of Uzbekistan: “At the state level, the tourism industry is given priority as a strategic sector of the national economy. Uzbekistan has created favorable conditions for investors, including investments in the construction of hotels. Entrepreneurs in the field of tourism provided about 20 benefits. In order to stimulate growth in the construction of hotels, an order is being introduced, in accordance with which the state reimburses investors for part of the cost of building hotels. As a result of these and other measures taken to support and protect the private sector, a high increase in hotel construction is expected. If in 2017-2018 about 100 hotels were built annually in the country on average, then this year it is planned that this figure will exceed 170. Similarly, it is expected that the growth rate of hotel rooms in the country this year will be 37% compared to 4% and 5% in 2017 and 2018. Considering, I urge all participants and investors to take an active part in the development of the hotel industry in Uzbekistan.”

This forum provided an opportunity for business circles to communicate and discuss issues of cooperation, exchange of information and experience, which will allow solving the key tasks of the hospitality industry taking into account national traditions, the latest technologies and best practices of industry professionals.
