Heating plant No. 5 “Chilanzar” provides sustainable heat energy to residents of the capital

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At the direction of the President, this power facility was overhauled in a short time and adapted for the production of thermal energy based on a hybrid system by the general contractor Uzbekenergotamir JSC.

The other day, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, as part of the work to improve the living conditions of the population and prepare for winter, got acquainted with the progress of modernization and the current activities of heating plant No. 5 “Chilanzar” in the Uchtepa district.

During last year's visit of the Head of State to this facility, it was in deplorable condition. Built in 1969, it has never undergone major renovations. Boiler houses and networks are outdated. Last winter, due to a sharp cold snap, there were interruptions in heat production. Therefore, the President gave instructions to repair boiler houses and increase the stability of heating networks.

In order to ensure the implementation of the priority tasks set by the President of our country, Uzbekenergotamir JSC over the past period carried out a comprehensive modernization of the center and built a modern energy facility.

The boiler houses of the complex have a total capacity of 700 Gcal; they provide heat to more than a thousand apartment buildings and about 400 social institutions.

This year, a fuel oil facility and storage facilities were built, two boilers were adapted to operate in mixed mode - on gas and fuel oil. As a result, the boiler room and networks operate stably even at low temperatures. In such cases, reserve fuel oil is used. By strengthening the pipe insulation, heat loss is also reduced.

Similar work was also carried out at the 3rd heating plant “Garbiy” in the Shaykhontokhur district. To date, stable operation of these two centers has been ensured. It is noteworthy that the hybrid operation of the device through the use of fuel oil allows the continuous supply of thermal energy to consumers even in abnormally cold weather conditions.

The good news is that a stable supply of heat energy on these frosty days has a positive effect on the mood of the population. This could be seen at the meeting of the leader of our country with a group of citizens.
