Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In order to ensure the execution of instructions in the resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 13 from 13 January 2023 and No. 23 from 20 January 2023, the following projects are being implemented at JSC Thermal Power Plants regarding heat supply to the population and objects of the social sphere of the city of Tashkent.

In particular, in the Aktepa and Bogzor mahallas in the Chilanzar district, 2 gas piston devices with a capacity of 4.6 MW and a boiler house with a capacity of 22.4 Gcal of thermal energy are being installed for 50 apartment buildings, 2 schools, 3 preschool educational and 2 medical institutions of the district.

Currently, work is underway to lay pipes necessary for transferring to a closed system, two gas piston devices, heat distribution devices for each building.

In order to implement this project, JSC "Thermal Power Plants" and "Iltekno Ileri Teknoloji Mühendislik ve Ticaret A.Ş." (Türkiye) and IMAGRO s.p.a. (Italy) signed a contract on a turnkey basis for the installation of 11 cogeneration and gas engines at the end sections of heating mains. The implementation of the project in 5 mahallas of Tashkent will be carried out by a Turkish company, and in 6 mahallas by an Italian company.

As is known, during the business forum held during the visit of the Head of our state to Italy on June 7-9 this year, three major contracts and one memorandum were signed between Thermal Power Plants JSC and the Italian credit agency SACE.

According to them, 4 major projects will be implemented totaling 2263.3 million euros, including projects for the modernization of the Tashkent thermal power plant, the construction of gas piston units and hot water boilers in 6 districts of the capital, the construction of 24 gas piston units with a capacity of 4.3 MW each and 4 hot water boilers with a capacity of 130 MW each at the 4th heating plant in the Yunusabad district of the capital.

According to the memorandum, opportunities will be created to provide residents of the capital with additional heat and electricity through the installation of cogeneration devices on the 1st, 3rd, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th thermal centrals. This project is also based on EPC+F terms, i.e. on the terms of construction financing and full commissioning.

As part of the preparatory work for the autumn-winter season of 2023-2024, the boiler houses of the Shaykhantakhur and Uchtepa districts are also being repaired. Measures to modernize boiler houses, aimed at the stable supply of consumers with thermal energy in the winter period, are being consistently continued.

According to the press service of JSC "Thermal Power Plants", technical specifications have been developed for all projects, on the basis of which JSC "Issiklikelektrloyiha" develops design estimates.

It is noteworthy that each of the projects is aimed at providing consumers with stable high-quality electrical and thermal energy.
