The purpose of the meeting was to discuss and determine the main vectors of Uzbek-German cooperation in the field of tourism.

During the negotiations, the parties identified the following promising areas of mutually beneficial partnership:

- improvement of professional skills of employees of the tourism industry of Uzbekistan in Germany;

- organization of fact-finding infotours in Uzbekistan for the representatives of Germany’s largest media with the purpose of preparing various photo and video materials about the tourist opportunities and potential of the republic with further publication and broadcasting on the German media market;

- use of the association’s capabilities to promote the national tourism product of Uzbekistan among German tour operators.

Within the framework of the meeting, the parties also agreed to render all possible assistance in establishing business ties between the tourism companies of the two countries by participating in international tourism exhibitions and fairs held in Uzbekistan and Germany, organizing meetings on a regular basis in the B2B format between Uzbek and German tour operators.

Following the meeting, the parties signed a memorandum on cooperation in the field of tourism.
