Head of the Russian Customs Service Alexander Belyaninov, as well as his colleagues from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Ukraine have arrived in Kazan.

Delegations of the Commonwealth countries on Thursday visited shops of the Kazanorgsintez enterprise, which is among Tatarstan’s largest companies exporting products to 15 countries. Specialists shared the newest methods of electronic registration of customs declaration.

On Friday, 9 October, the Council of the heads of CIS customs services will hold a meeting. The meeting participants will discuss ways of further strengthening of cooperation between the national customs services within the CIS, they plan to adopt a number of documents and conclude bilateral agreements.

The Commonwealth of Independent States is a regional organisation whose participating countries are former Soviet Republics. The CIS is comparable to a confederation similar to the original European Community.
